Job description
- Overall responsibility for the management and optimization of all technical areas and associated processes for a plant with >200MA
- Increasing the performance and efficiency of all production processes (automation, processes, digitalization)
- Implementation of investment projects and scaling of production capacities
- Redesign of cable assembly as an extended workbench for Europe and the USA
- Introduction of lean management and a corresponding mindset on the shopfloor
- Management, coaching, and development of the local department managers
Requirements
- Sound technical qualification
- Several years of management experience as a production and/or plant manager
- Extensive experience in the cable industry, either with a cable manufacturer or an assembler
- Entrepreneurial and integrating personality with intercultural experience and seniority
- Expertise in operational excellence, continuous improvement and cost engineering (lean management, Six Sigma)
- Written and spoken English, knowledge of German would be a plus
- Willingness to relocate to South Africa
